Thanksgiving is a blink of an eye away. This is the time of year when we get a lot of emails asking about the best - as well as easy - brine. Here's all that you'll need:
- Water, enough to cover your whole turkey or poultry
- 1 cup, Kosher Salt
- 1 tablespoon, Rubarama (either blend)
- Orange, sliced
- Lemon, sliced
- Optional: 1 cup, brown sugar
Bring water, salt, Rubarama, and brown sugar (if you are using it) to a boil. Stir until the salt is dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature. Pour the brine over the turkey, drop in the citrus, and refrigerate overnight.
